POSITION BASED SKILLS:
SKILLS FOR DEFENCE SUCH AS QUICKLY GETTING PUCKS OFF THE BOARDS AND TO THE MIDDLE OF THE ICE ON THE BLUE LINE, PUCK RETREIVALS BELOW THE GOAL LINE, JOINING THE RUSH
SKILLS FOR FORWARDS SUCH AS DECEPTION WITH THE PUCK, QUICK RELEASE SHOOTING, TIPPING THE PUCK, ANTICIPATING PRESSURE IN THE TOUGH AREAS
THESE ARE THE SKILLS THAT SEPARATE THE ELITE FROM THE REST OF THE PACK.
GAMES: EACH GAME WILL HAVE REFS AND A SCOREKEEPER. THERE WILL BE 3 PERIODS. THE COACHES WILL BE COACHING THE TEAMS TO WIN. TEACHING THEM HOW TO EXECUTE DRAWN UP PLAYS IN THE OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE ZONE. WHEN TO TAKE RISKS AND WHEN TO PLAY SAFE. YOUR PLAYER MAY BE SAT FOR NOT LISTENING TO COACHES. THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE FOR FUN BUT A LEARNING EXPERIENCE TO CHALLENGE YOUR PLAYER TO COMPETE AT THEIR HIGHEST LEVEL.
TEAM 77 WILL BE COACHED BY BRYON FOBAIR. TEAM 12 WILL BE COACHED BY WILLY FOBAIR.BRYON AND WILLY BOTH PLAYED AAA HOCKEY, BOTH PLAYED TIER 2 JR A IN THE CANADIAN JR A CIRCUIT. WILLY IN THE SIJHL AND BRYON IN THE MJHL. BOTH SERVED AS WELL RESPECTED CAPTAINS FOR WEBER STATE, BOTH SELECTED AS FIRST TEAM ALL REGION AT LEAST ONCE DURING THEIR TIME AT WEBER STATE. THIS IS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN FROM PLAYERS THAT HAVE PLAYED THE GAME AT A HIGH LEVEL. KYLE LANE WILL BE THE GOALIE COACH, THERE TO WORK WITH THE GOALIES.
